Last year we drove up to a Camp Ground in New England and the guy at the kiosk asked how old our unit was. I told him it was a 1977 and he kinda looked a bit funny then said, hey that's older than my mom. He looked at the plates and saw we were from British Columbia and asked how the trip was going then assigned us a campsite. When we were reading the brochures DW had gathered in the office it said the park had an age restriction on units. On the way out the next day I asked him what the age restriction was and he said that it was the shape the unit is in not the age that is the determining factor.
A couple of posts ago spritz posted pictures of his class A; magnificent.

I'm concerned about being rejected by parks only because of the age of my coach. Do parks do this and if so what year is generally used as a cut-off point? Is this done by state parks mainly, I couldn't see a privately owned doing this, but who knows?

I would highly doubt any state park caring about rig age.

Avoid Resorts and private CGs. Try and stick with State and Federal Parks and COEs. They let anyone in no matter how old and ratty the RV.

You have to have rules or some will take it to the extreme.

In Florida, SPs don't care. I would suspect that any park that allows tent camping is fine for any age motorhome. Nobody asks how old your tent is ...
I believe the same for County parks.

We have never had an issue. I avoid RV Resorts as they are not the sort of place we like to be anyway. We have heard of others including a chapter of our group relocating an entire rally to a more old coach friendly location. My coach turned 40 this year and none of out group are newer than 34yo.
I would have to say don't worry about it.

In my experience, only private parks have RV age restrictions.
Since I am the CUSTOMER, it's MY POLICY to only stay in campgrounds and RV parks where I KNOW that my coach, (and my money), is wanted...... and then ONLY after the campground has passed MY INSPECTION! .......(There are plenty of those)!
My question regarding "campground RV age restriction polices", is this:
Why on earth would anyone even consider staying at any campground that warns of a POLICY of rejecting older coaches..... (but that "MIGHT" let you pay and stay "IF" your RV passes THEIR INSPECTION)??

picky cg
If the CG has their nose that high in the air then something stinks. Do not stay there.
