Question how to drain ice maker??

i have a national seabreeze lx. it has a 4 dr fridge with a ice maker. does anyone know how to drain the ice maker?? the manuel is not much help

Remove the water line feed off fill valve behind fridge the feed line should drain if it was disconnected inside under sink and disconnect the line from the valve on top of valve, its feeding the ice maker.
Drop the wire fill switch lever so water drains out of 1/4" line.
Than I use paper towels to get water out of water tray.
Unplug the ice maker cord along with the refrigerator cord.
Leave the store latches engaged to keep doors open so you get no mold.
