The first thing the ambulance crew did was have me chew 4 regular aspirins and put a nitro tablet under my tongue.

Found out later that it was not a heart attack but scared the hell out of me. Fastest trip I've ever made to the local hospital.

I take a 81mg every day have been since my first one back in 2000 along with all my other cardiac meds, plus carrie a bottle of Nitro and yes change in Diet is a must in my book.

Ten years ago I wasn't feeling quite right. Weakness in the shoulders but none of the typical warning signs. Ate a 325 mg aspirin and drove 20 minutes to the ER. Walked up to the desk and coded( twice). Took 10 minutes to get back to the world of the living and a Helicopter ride and stent to fix the problem. Turned out to be a plaque tear that blocked one of my coronary arteries (Happened with no real warning). I now carry nitro and have considered but not pulled the trigger on an AED. Have had no issues since..
