How to spot a swimmer in distress

It's camping season and many of us will be around water. Would you be able to recognize a potential drowning victim?

Thanks for posting this. I'm 76 and it was something I didn't know.

In Navy boot camp one of the first things they did was to sort out who could swim and who couldn't. This was done by having everyone jump off a platform 10' above 14' of water. A high school friend that I enlisted with couldn't swim at all and was in line ahead of me. I will never forget the look on his face when he surfaced before being fished out of the pool.

I post this each spring in an effort to expose it to as many readers as possible. I believe around 400+ have viewed it so far. Hopefully it will help folks avert a possible travesty. Thanks for the kind comments!
