How's this for service?

I'M NOT SAYING ANYTHING BAD ABOUT SUN CITY, AZ RV.

The MH I bought there has been in there since 12/8/2011 for a new engine, speedo, AC compressor and a couple small items. It took two months to get the CEO of Phoenix American Warranty Company off of the golf course to approve the >$10,000 claim.

The last time I was there to get somethings out of my MH, the tech was working on the generator of another MH while my front axle, springs and other parts were just sitting there. I emailed the service manager and his generic reply was that the motor was in and they had to get the warranty company inspector back out to check the fuel pump check valve claim. Don't know how long that will take, but I have missed at least 4 dune trips with my buddies.

When they call to say it is done, I'm going to go over it with a fine tooth comb to make sure everything that was working still does and that everything they fixed works the way it should and that the carpet is as clean as when I brought it in.

The last time I checked the house batteries that were new 4/11 were down to 11.3V and they were bulging on the sides. They did not have them on a charger. I know this will take some life out of the batteries and I will try to get someone other than me to pay for new ones.

I haven't heard or read anything bad about Sun City RV, so this is their chance to get me to give them a good review here on irv2.

Jeeze. I was wondering if you had gotten your moho back yet. Hope they do a good job for you so you can write a glowing endorsement!

Yikes! In which direction should I bow down and pray to the 8.1 gods? Good luck with the repairs. Bob

Thanks all. I don't want to rush them; just want it done right the first time.

The latest is that the warranty company wants to charge $97 to come out and check the fuel pump. They could have done that the first time they were there.

90 days is unacceptable even for an engine change.

If you get the BBB involved it usually gets even the most unmotivated slackerds moving.

I'm sure they would like it out of their way also. when you are dealing with insurance company and adjuster the shop and you are at their mercy.they are not making money with a bay sitting idle. good luck with your repair's

The CEO was the biggest bottle neck. I called them and was told it would be approved on a Monday. It wasn't approved till the following Friday.

I have a question. What kind of break-in does this new V-10 need? Can I tow my 20' enclosed right away, or should I put some miles on it first?

Check your owners manual and go by what it says.

I don't know about the break in period. Our moho had 1200 miles on it (new) because of the drive from Indiana. I guess the break-in was done for us.

Just checked the Owner's Guide. Not in there. It says: "Refer to the Important Papers Packet that didn't come with your used Motor Home". I'll call Ford.
