Humidity running AC

Friends of ours run there AC even though temperature is not a factor mid 70's. They are concerned with humidity and run it regularly . I live in the southeast at the coast and humidity is a concern but I don't run the heat pump (ac) while the motor home is in the drive way. Curious what the general thought was.
Thanks

Humidity running AC

I live in So Fl and kept all three roof vents open while being stored. ( had the max air vents ) never had an issue with moisture or mold. The constant air movement is the important factor.

I live in mid AL and we have humidity issues for sure. I do run our ac's but they are set to 82. It isn't only humidity but also the heat that concerns me. I don't want it to warp my wood interior or cause glue to fail.

Might depend on the quality of the materials in the rig. I've seen wallpaper peeling off rigs at southern RV dealers, but we do nothing to ours (we live in central Florida) and have no issues at all. Vents are usually open, though.

My advice would be to not use the a/c and keep an eye on things. If you see signs or mold or mildew, then maybe you need ventilation fans or even a/c. If not, don't worry yourself.

We run our A/C year round when we're not traveling. In the summer I set the cooling to 80 degrees and in winter set the heat pump to 50 degrees.
