I-10 travel conditions

I'm considering traveling on I-10 from Batan Rouge to Florida. I haven't used that route in years due to poor road conditions in La. Has anyone traveled this route lately?

Take I-12 out of Baton Rouge to Slidell, then rejoin I-10, unless you really need to fight traffic in New Orleans.

Ditto the I-12 info ... last time we drove it about 6 mo ago there was only one short stretch in LA that was a bit rough, and it was in a construction zone with repairs in process. The entire route is much better than it was a few years ago.

Hi adj,
I took west bound I-10 through the gulf states in June. Overall the road was fine. I would travel the road again.

Smile I-10 info

The road is getting allot better--my wife and I went from Destin, FL to Huston, TX in Mar 09 and the roads were fairly nice--of course I-10 is know for it's bumps--but they are slowly but surely getting them fixed-all the bridge work in Pensacola has been completed allong with the I-110 intersection. You will have smooth sailing with just minor interruptions which are normal for the interstate.
