And here in AZ we get the same discount at Shell and Circle K.

Yep. And I can get in easily at their new stations. And being cheaper than Loves and P/FJ from the git-go plus a discount really helps a lot.

I have a Walmart Discover Card...saves $.05 at Walmart pump and gives some cash back credit also. I've had lots of times where Walmart was the best price. Obviously, the trick is to know if you can get in or out of that Walmart.

And to make krogers even more attractive watch for times when they offer 4x the points on the purchase of gift cards one twenty five dollar gift card will give you ten cents off per gal. If you buy cards to resturants that you frequent anyway it's a great deal.

In my neighborhood Kroger's is King Soopers and Loaf & Jug convenience stores. 4X fuel points on gift cards started the other day and runs through April 22nd. Regularly gift cards are 2X fuel points.

So my way to take full advantage of the system is to use gift cards for the places that I shop at anyway. We do a lot of shopping on Amazon, you can find exactly what you want, the shipping is 2 Day Free for Amazon Prime members, in CO we don't pay sales tax on Amazon and I don't waste a drop of fuel driving around looking for things. I also buy Home Depot and Lowes gift cards and other stores that I know I will be shopping at. So I rarely ever pay more than $2.75/gal for fuel . Fortunately, there are a few King Sooper and Loaf & Jug stations near the house that are large enough for me to get the coach in and out with no issue. On top of that I buy the gift cards with a credit card so I get airline miles .

Since we drive the toad much more often than the coach (our coach may sit for several months between trips while we explore) having the plans that build up discounts on gas works fine for us. The Winn Dixie plan is only good for 20 gallons at a time which will always fill the toad.

In New England, Price Chopper had a good plan, and you could buy gift cards there that counted towards your discount.

In Florida, don't know yet. We DO have Win Dixies around, though not sure how many yet, so will look into their program.
