Hi Robert and Nancy!
My husband Mark Polk of RV Education 101 put this checklist together. It is actually in our Checklist e-book with an actual chart but this should help your friends if you cut, paste and print it.
This checklist is not all-inclusive. It is intended as a basic guide to serve as a reminder. There may have been some items overlooked and other items that do not apply to you. When using this checklist you should apply the items that meet your needs and for the type of RV that you are getting, and disregard those items that don't apply to you.
Pre-Delivery Inspection (Travel Trailer)
The day you have been waiting for has finally arrived. Today you go to the dealership and pick up your new RV. You are very excited and can't wait to get it home and show all your friends and family.
When you go to pick the unit up you are overwhelmed by the vast amount of information given in a short period of time. The dealer gives you a walk through of your new RV, but by the time you get home you forgot half of what they told you, and you're not really sure if they covered everything.
Now you feel a bit intimidated and don't have a great deal of confidence taking the RV on its maiden voyage. This checklist was designed to help you on the day you pick the RV up. Not only will you be sure that everything was covered, but you can make notes and refer back to it when you forget how something works.
