I Smell a Scam

Years ago we were selling our fifth wheel trailer. Got one of those messages, "exactly what I look in for, I send to your bank account, please send bank account number for send money to" lol. No way I would ever send bank acct info to anyone. I told him I would give him the info for the loan company and that account number, he could send the money to them and they will forward any over payment to me.. Funny thing, never heard from him again.

They send a legitimate looking money order or certified cheque that u deposit into your account. Then they ask u to wire some of it to a third party
cash of course and because you think you are dealing with their money you fall for it. A week later the cheque bounces.

A certified cheque or money order is as good as cash and this is how they get you.... legitimate certified cheque s are as good as cash but not counterfits.
