Yep, different pages. You are right, it will burn out the heater rather quickly. The ice maker link I posted describes a test procedure-with a warning to not leave the test jumper attached for more than x seconds or it will burn out the heater.
BTW, the RV ice maker is from a residential frig, rebranded by Norcold($127).I bought a new one from
Amazon branded Whirlpool($54). They also have a generic(Supco) for $45.
