In house water pump

Can anyone help?
I have a 2004 Damon Intruder with a Shurflo 45psi water pump and no power, I have checked the fuse panel at the foot of the bed and all looks good, is there a fuse anywhere else?
Many thanks
Mike in UK

Check near the pump itself, manufacturers sometimes fuse it there as well. Double check the pump with power to see if the pump itself is good

Welcome to iRV2.

Sorry your here with problems .

I'm sorry but " looks good " , isn't a good test for a fuse , you have to check for power through the fuse with a volt meter or test light . Then power through the switch , and if your RV has multiple locations for water pump switches , there may be a relay in the circuit.

I'm sorry the it took a problem to get you to join us, but we hope you will stay engaged after you have a resolution.

Two of the tools that you need to invest in are a multi-tester and a 12V test light. Fuses, especially the longer old type can break at the end and can't be seen. You can also test to make sure you have 12v to the fuse. You can also find a 12v feed and straight wire to the pump to make sure it works.

WOW. Someone suggests a test light other than me. I must be wearing off!!! Glad to see it.

There are two types of pump control systems

one.. I have two 3 way switches. Main control panel and full bath They are just switches and that's all Both "Toggles"

Two.. There is a "Water pump controller" and if you have that it can fail.

I like the basic system myself (KISS principle Keep It Super Simple)

Alas I can not help you with teh controller. Are your swiches Toggles or Push button/touch tabs or Spring return toggles.

IF straight ON/OFF type toggles like a light switch at home.. That's the KISS system. I like it best.

Will help with "Where to probe" next time

I am not sure if there is a fuse near mine or not. I thought there was but I do not recall it when I did the replacement a few years back.

I have also run into quite a few of the ATC (blade type) fuses that look good but the very end of the wire is burnt off and hard to see this. Had a couple that would show power thru them with no load on then no power with a load on them.

I have a circuit breaker wired up the blade type terminals I filed to fit in the slot for the ATC and another with small alligator clips to go in the long glass fuse holder for testing purposes.

Don't know about my current MH but my '88 Itasca had power to the pump all the time and the 2 switches made or broke the ground circuit.

The pump also has a pressure switch mounted on the end of it. Once you determine that there is power all the way to the pump you can test the pressure switch for operation.
