In Times of Trouble

This was written to my wife a millennium ago. We were going through some BIG financial difficulty at the time and she asked me how I could deal with it so calmly. I told her it's like an "Inner Strength" I have. It's my philosophy in life.

The next morning, I got up and wrote this to her. We sent it to a publishing company and it was put in a book.

This poem has been all over the world through requests by friends and family. It just seems to help some how in tough times no matter what they are!

Hope you enjoy!

INNER STRENGTH

There are times like these

You could drop to your knees,

As you wonder how much you can take.

But as some people know
 with their troubles in tow,

there is always a choice
 they can make.

To drown in our sorrows,

Saps up our tomorrows,

And makes everything in our lives
 seem bleak.

So, just count your blessings

And not your misgivings,

And somehow you'll not feel so weak.

Just change what you can,

Put the rest on a shelf,

And keep misery at an arm's length.

For it's the wealth of those

Who can conquer their woes,

That's the secret to "Inner Strength!"
