My question is: How many of you use a storage facility for your RV / Boat or classic car? Indoor or Outdoor Storage and what do you pay per month?

Not that I store my RV at a storage area but I wonder what the demand for Indoor / Outdoor RV storage is in New Jersey / Pennsylvania ?

My idea is to have a indoor (climate controlled) and outdoor storage. Detailing service for both inside and outside the RV. Waste tank service. Fresh water filling. Light maintenance such as checking and toping off fluids, tire pressure, battery service. Linen service.

Let me know of some of your thoughts.

In Florida were we live we store at an outside lot. No services but we can tarp cover for $25.00 per month. We store or boat there also, only 3 miles from our home. Your idea sounds good, lots of bad weather there.

We are in Central Texas and keep our MH inside a metal storage barn where they also have covered outside storage. None of the services are offered that you mentioned with the exception of a self serve dump station. I would think if the area demographics is right those services would be in demand.

From the places online that have indoor storage it can vary from $200 - $400 a month.

Outside storage is around $75 for up to 30' here in New Jersey.

I can not find any "Full Service" RV / Boat storage in New Jersey. I would have to imagine there are people that would like to store their $150K purchase out of the elements and have cleaning services available ..

Great point on the Demographics. .. How do I know how many people own a RV in New Jersey? I guess I could ask some of the RV dealers in the New Jersey / Pennsylvania area.

Here is a 25 and 50 mile radius from my house.

I know I always see a couple on my way to and from work On I-78. Maybe I should start paying attention to their license plates

I'm across the country, but in Portland I am paying $125/mo. for a stall in a covered shed with open sides. No amenities except its fenced, monitored full time and it has a bathroom to use when I'm cleaning the RV.

I store my 34 ft Winnebago Vectra in a covered storage (no walls) for $75 per month in Meridian, ID. I just want to keep the snow and rain off it but unfortunately it doesn't keep the pigeons away. The storage area is fenced with razor wire on top, coded gate, with a manager living on the premises but it was still broken into a couple of years ago so I think it was an inside job. No dump or any services available.

I'm in New Jersey and I would like to know how much people are paying for indoor storage for they're rv's and do they have electric? Thanks. Joe

I store my motorhome indoors in a 100' X 300' steel building. It is storage only, no services. They charge $2.50 per foot per month. Most days the owner is in/around the building. Can generally get in when I want.

Vehicle registrations by county should be available to you to get a "head count" on the number of RV's in your area. Library would be the first place to look, but the state may provide the data as well.

I understand.. Some other storage facilities that I have found online have staging areas for "after hours" pick up and delivery.

If looking for help no doubt that I would look for retired individuals that are looking to make some extra money and not require (want) benefits. Not to mention they would most likely be more reliable.

I store mine in a boat lot that has one row of storage for RVs. It is like a row of huge garages, all attached each with it's own door, roofed and covered all around except for a chain link fence door. Concrete floor with power...$150/mo.

To me it's worth it to keep my investment out of the rain, snow, sun, etc.

Just moved my coach from an outside storage yard to a bay in a private owned pole building. I share the building with an antique fire truck, another new motorhome and mine. The owner lives on the property and someone is always usually around. The owner just installed security cameras they monitor in their home. They are glad to have just us there only and really seem to look out for our rigs. There are no amenities and I pay $125. a month.
My outside storage was right behind my house and up the road a bit, I could walk to get my coach anytime but, it was outdoors, the area it was parked on was only stone, I was in an area of the yard practicaly to myself, the yard was fenced and secure. I was paying $45. a month there and no sevices.
I loke my new home!
