I bought the same. Mine works fine and don't take up a lot of room.

All they require is a stainless steel bottom...don't know the cost, but Wally World carries them.

Not all SST/stainless steel is magnetic, only a few grades are, it must be magnetic for induction to work. Take a magnet with you when shopping for induction-ready cookware. Some cookware has a steel or cast iron core bottom, clad with SST to make it induction-ready.

I bought a portable induction cooktop at Wal*Mart today for less than $40 (display model, Farberware), came with it's own aluminum frypan. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Faberware-...44610934#about

Pan has a steel grid cast into the bottom of it. Still in the car trunk. I'll give it a try when I get home with some of our Kirkland stainless triple clad pans and see it it works with them.
If we decide to put an induction cooktop in the MH I'll go with the True Induction dual burner one and the Magma pans unless the Kirkland ones work.

Here 'ya go Mae!

PEANUT BUTTER BALLS

Ingredients:
1 16 oz. jar creamy peanut butter
1 cup of margarine, softened
1 16 oz. box of powdered sugar
12 1.55oz Hershey bars (I buy package of 6 at Wal-Mart)
1/3 bar of paraffin

Cream together peanut butter, margarine, and powdered sugar until well blended. Roll out into 1" balls, chill or freeze for several hours.

Place Hershey bars and paraffin in top of double boiler over boiling water. When thoroughly melted, dip the peanut butter balls and place on waxed paper or foil to harden.

Get ready to gain 5 llbs!

I've never heard of eating paraffin. Could you explain?

Good Luck!

Annette says the paraffin is to harden the chocolate. I didn't design 'em, I just eat 'em!

I'm Impressed! Got the single burned cooktop home and tried it last night with our Kirkland set. Work just fine. Put two cups of water in the smallest one and had it boiling in right at 3 min. That's faster than using gas on the stick house stove.

Exactly!! My father was in the South Pacific during the war. The chocolate bars they got were full of paraffin so they didn't melt in the heat there. He always said they tasted terrible since they were so waxy.
Lots of food contains paraffin, you just don't know it.

I promise you they won't taste "waxy"! If you love chocolate and peanut butter these things are to kill for!

Bet you can't eat just one!

These sound delicious! and I'm guessing they might keep in the fridge for a short time

Once they're made, you don't have to keep them in the fridge, as long as the room is reasonably cool. Annette makes enough to keep me going for two or three weeks in a plastic container on the counter!
