And if you want some great devices to keep them from rattling while traveling these things are very well built. I bought two sets.

We had these in our S&B and kept them for the MH. Yes, they are very expensive, but they cook extremely well and are virtually indestructible.

Yeah, we looked at that, but that's more than we want to invest if there are lower cost alternatives that will do a good job!

Joe......I bought the Magna after several recommendations. I was REALLY surprised at the quality. They are very nice, very heavy and very well built. The clip on handles are excellent quality and easy to use. The nesting is really nice, plus they have lids. Unless there is something in particular about them you really don't like, you'll be hard pressed to find something nicer at twice the price.

I also bought a large fry pan and a flat skillet, that I liked, separately.

Costco and Sams Club have some good deals on pot and pan sets that are Induction. Wife has a mix of Ikea and Circulon pots and pans.
You may want to get True Induction Cooking Mats.

Joe,

Where did you purchase the True Induction unit? Are you going to install the unit in your coach yourself? I am intrested in (maybe)....getting one for our motorhome.

Thanks

I use silicone pie pan liners on my induction cooktops both at home and in the MH. You can also use them for baking

The pot or pan is gonna get really hot. If it's rubber, I wonder what keeps this from melting?

I got it from Amazon. It came in yesterday. Our gas cooktop is recessed below the countertop and we have two covers that hide it when not in use, giving her a lot of extra counter space. I bought the surface cooktop and will mount it underneath, with the burners and controls visible through the opening. I will have to enlarge the opening which is gonna be quite a job (I think). It is Corian or some similar material.

I will do another post with pics of the total project!

If you spill something on the mat it has to be cleaned so why not just clean the glass cooktop?

Wish I had one of these before we gave away our All Clad that was not induction rated. We use the portable Nu Wave induction cookers. One is on the counter and one put away until needed. The nice thing is the stove top cover is level with the rest of the counter so we have not seen the stove top in a couple of years except for cleaning. Being able to move the Nuvi to an optimum cooking place is really nice and we still have the backup of the propane when the Zombies begin to invade.
