Great feedback everyone. I think the wife and I have decided to move forward with adding a fireplace. Any suggestions on bolting it down if we got a freestanding? I would rather not put any holes in the wall. Possibly an L bracket on the back side screwed to the floor?

I doubt this will get done before our trip to Florida in two weeks but after that I will probably tackle it. I have to run an outlet over to the area that this FP will be install, going to install the outlet in the floor.
