Installing Flag Pole Buddy on side of MH
Just wondering if anybody has ever attached the flag pole buddy to side of camper and had any problems.
I don't want it stuck in the back of camper on the ladder all the time as sometimes we sit for months and back is under trees.
I was thinking of putting it in front of the front awning pole so it would go up just behind the front passenger window. Thanks.

Ya know, being a proud veteran, I've always wanted to fly Old Glory on one of those kinda of poles too. I think it's so cool and makes me proud. BUT....I've always worried about it being a lighting rod and since we full time, and encounter bad weather, I don't want to always worry about bringing it down with an impending storm coming. Maybe my worries are missed placed, I don't know. It just seems risky to me.

If you're going to be parked for long period, make or buy one of the pole supports that goes under your tire. You could drive the right front over it and it would be where you want it located.

I too have been wanting a flag pole for a long time. I am looking at the ones that go into the receiver hitch. I am solo and don’t have anyone to help me with the under the tire set up and I am handicapped and can’t get up on the rear ladder.

"TXTiger" The under wheel one doesn't take two people. Back or pull your RV in, and either leave it 12" too far back or forward. Set the holder on the ground and drive over it. I've had a Flag Pole Buddy for 15 years and used it on the ladder, but as the OP mentioned, many sites have trees in the back and the flag can't be used.

Once the brackets are installed on the ladder you never need to go up on the ladder again. Kind of the whole point of the bracket. If you can't install it, then ask/pay somebody to install the upper bracket.

Flag Pole Buddy also has suction cup mounts that you can place anywhere on your RV assuming the siding is smooth. The only concern would be what that might do (if anything) to the jelcoat. Would it bubble up? I've never tried it, so don't know. Would certainly resolve your issue assuming your sides are smooth and the suction does no harm to the RV.
