Renewal coming up in January so decided to "shop" the coverage. Just finishing 3rd year with Progressive (USAA directed) and each renewal the premium was increased $75-100.
No tickets, no claims - AARP 55 Alive driver safety program grad...
Progressive renewal = $703
Farm & City = $554 or a 21% savings
But that isn't the whole story! All coverages and deductibles are the same except new value is $10,000+ more (agreed value)

Thanks for the info. Is Farm and City a direct writer or do they use agents?

Insurance cost varies from one person to the next example a basic policy will cost the least, but what coverage do you receive for that price. Now some one who has to protect their wealth, home, RV, Bank Accounts, etc should carry a larger amount of coverage to protect themselfves. So be careful and make sure you have the right amount of insurance by reading everything.
As a retired Firefighter we use to laugh at Insurance agents who would try to sell us accident injury insurance in the Fire House and when asked are we covered when we go into burning buildings or at fire scenes they would always say NO. Just make sure you read what you are really getting.

Farm and City IS an agent representing several companies
1-800-331-1520 - I talked with Monica.

Read & Learn: As a currently licensed insurance agent, reading policies and understanding coverages is NOT a problem. Only problem is I do aviation only therefore represent no companies that write MH's

Foremost--prior USAA---has increased their price nearly $500 in the past 4 years. Needless to say, they will be history as of Monday morning

I've got American Modern Home RV insurance. It is a fulltimer policy, but I had them long before we went fulltime without the fulltime coverage. The only time my premium went up is when I bought a more expensive coach. First five years we had direct replacement if our coach it totaled. Second 5 years we get full purchase price. The RV is covered whether we're towing on the road or parked in an RV park. Two years ago we blew a tire and did some body damage. I called them that evening and a claims adjuster called me next day and asked if I had any preference for repairs. I said yes, only my dealer or Newmar - that is it. I met him at our dealer when we got home and they payed every penny except my deductible. Since we were more than 75 miles from home, they payed the hotel (we are fulltime and S.D. residents; dealer is in PA.) Plus, my next year's premium did not go up.
