Insurance Question

Our trailer was hit. About $1K in damage, but usable.

My question is, am I entitled to inconvenience money? Not looking for much, but $200 would make me feel better about my time spent getting repairs done.

Am I expecting too much?

Probably only if you have a specific clause in your policy. Our MH policy has "Emergency Expense" coverage of up to $5,000 to cover hotels etc and our toad policy has "Transportation Expense" of $50 a day to cover a rental car.

If your rig was hit by someone, isn't their insurance paying for everything?

You should read your policy and then call your agent. Sometimes your own agent can be a good advocate in these cases working with the other guys insurance company.

Other parties insurance is covering the damage. Our trailer was parked. Just a time waster and fuel expense for me.

Submit any actual expenses, with receipts, as part of your claim with the other insurance company. They should be covered. But no insurance company is going to pay anything for inconvenience. Nor should they.
