You’d have to ask your Progressive agent if a glass claim will increase premiums. FYI, here in SC glass claims have no deductible. I just received my renewal from progressive and premiums went up $50 or so. Not a big deal.

We just renewed our insurance through our independent agency and ours went down $300 for the same coverage.

For those with such high rates...and some of these rates took my breath away there are two things you should check out.


1. Google "Insurance rates by state" and there are good sites that show average rates by state. See where your state stands.


2. If you are an AARP member try the insurance they have with THE HARTFORD. My insurance for both my 2016 Dodge Ram TDSL and my 34 ft TT came out lower than what I was paying Nationwide for just the truck.


I license my truck and trailer in SD and the average insurance rates there are very low.
