The door is in the last picture - curb side, just behind the big window toward the front.

I guess that's one way to move from a gasser to a diesel (assuming he's pulling it with a diesel PU), although an engine swap might have been the preferred method.....

That was my first thought.

I'm thinking it has been abandoned there once they realized that it towed like a dead walrus. Notice the rear licence plate is missing!

At least it is nice and shiney.

I admire and respect resourceful people. People who are not afraid to be different, either driven by economics or just the desire to make do with something most everyone else would toss aside or be too proud to own. In my past life one of my areas of responsibility included a remote island with maybe 2000 residents. I was always amazed and truly respected their ability to make something out of nothing. I often wondered who had it right, those folks, who lived a life that material possessions were, well, immaterial to them. If they wanted something they would barter back and forth, or scrounge the island for what they needed. Or us, who have run on the hamster wheel of life to keep up with everything and everybody, (whoever the Jones are) rushing to buy the latest gadget off the shelf which already is obsolete. Dashing to the fast food joint for lunch because we just don't have time, quickly waving to a friend, but we don't have time to stop and chat. It's run harder run faster work longer days, gotta have two paychecks to make the payments. I know one thing they always had was time to stop and invite you in for a meal or at least a cup of coffee. I know when I arrived at that island and stepped out of the helicopter I could feel my blood pressure drain down about 20 points. No matter how you live your life in the end we all die. I suspect we (the hamster wheel people) die sooner.

I bet he pulls it with a Tundra.....

Note no weight distribution and that is plain old boat trailer coupler. And that A-frma in the front does not look none to large.

I agree with Stillwater, I admire and respect resourceful people, also.

The conversion might not be as heavy as we might initially think. The motorized portion has been removed and it does not appear to have any slideouts.

It is not so much the total weight of the rig but the correct BALANCE. If the tongue weight is too light it will wobble down the road like a drunken duck. If the tongue weight is too heavy the tow vehicle will become the inebriated fowl.

Think about this - when was the last time you saw a travel trailer of that approximate size with only a single axle?

To be completely fair, it could pull just fine. If that is the case the owner is either a genius or VERY lucky. A fascinating modification nonetheless.

Like I said before - It is very shiny.
