DH's family is spread between FL (us, a sibling, our kids & spouses), Atlanta, SC, and NC. Once the kids started getting married and had in-laws, it became too hard to get together for Christmas, so we meet at a state park in Georgia over July 4th for our Christmas. We are the only RVers, so they all stay in cabins. There can be 30-35 of us. We've been doing this for 19 years. Instead of buying gifts for everyone that none of us need nor really want, we take up a collection and then give away as needs in our communities arise during the year. We raised $1,200.00 this year. So, it is an RV tradition of sorts, but a tradition nonetheless.

It is enough of a tradition for me to be jealous.

Enjoy and treasure it.

Great story, ICE CREAM is the key to long lasting relationships, I met my wife outside an icecream shop, july 19th 1973, summer of 8th grade, and yes, ice cream does get you out of hot water, sometimes groveling is necessary, along with the ice cream.
