Just thought I would share, I think this is fairly unique. Perhaps inspire others to do the same.
My wife and I met Memorial day weekend 1967. Our families were RV'ing in a campground near Mystic Seaport Conn.. We were in High School, from the same town about 100 miles away, and hit is off as the saying goes. I bought her an ice cream, that is all it took!
She has 3 sisters and a brother. And as each made their lives, they married and eventually ended up with RV's. They also of course worked, had careers and over time we all became stretched out along the east coast as vairous careers infulenced where we live. We are the most south in S.C., and a sister is the most north in upstate NY. Others are spread out in between. Her parents continued RV'ing untill last year, they are in their mid 80's now and not wanting to drive a RV.
In 1990 we started a tradition. We would create a 5 day weekend each year, and meet somewhere for an RV family reunion. The first was in the Pocono's. We used 6 sites for that first gathering.
Fast forward, each of her sisters and her brother had kids, the kids (grand children) are grown and some have married. There are a couple of great grand kids. They joined the tradition. The grandkids have RV's or tents, and are all hooked on camping. We have 16 sites reserved for this years gathering, destination Gettysburg PA. Her parents are staying in a cabin in the park, as previously stated they no longer have a rv.
This year will be the 25th year we have done this! Pretty amazing. It went by way too quickly.
I think this is pretty unique. A true RV extended family tradition, and the legacy looks like it will continue. We all enjoy seeing each other, yet no ones home if overun. We do "Pot Luck" dinners, we pull all the tables together end to end, it is a very large crowd!!!

PS Ice cream is still the way to Debbie's heart, I learned that very early, a stop at Dairy Queen can get me out of almost any mess.
