eBay does a pretty good job of policing this. I've found several scam adds in RV Trader and lots more on Craig's List.

On one of the RV Trader adds my wife remembered seeing the exact same picture on eBay a few months earlier. The scammer had copied the pictures right out of the eBay add into his own RV Trader add. He even had the original build sheet that he had requested from the dealer a month earlier.

I bought our motor home from e-bay and it has several problems, 14000 miles more than advertised , furnace not working , vent fan, stereo system, and speedometer to mention a few. all these things must have broken in route to us because naturally the dealer said everything worked perfectly when it left Cal. the only good thing is that after i work another week or two and spend a few thousand more on it we will still have a nice MH A SMALL AMOUNT UNDER BOOK VALUE

Just like small claims or civil court .. if you are vindicated, it does not mean that you'll get the money owed to you.

It's more than a year now and we still haven't been paid .01 cents for our pit bull attack and expenses. Our Maya is not, and will never be, the same dog she was. Our next step is small claims court, but that doesn't mean we'll see .01 cent!
I won my small claims suit but haven't seen a penny. You can read about my pit bull attack here Dog Attack
