Some of you may have noticed we've had an new Administrator in our ranks for several months. "Janet H" has been working quietly in the background with our site's staff getting ready for our transition to a new software platform. She lives in eastern Washington state and is a long time RV fan. She and her husband own 2 vintage Airstream Argosy's and travel often. She helps our site's owner, "Andy R", on his other Social Knowledge sites and is very familiar with the vBulletin platform we will be moving to shortly.

While Janet hasn't posted much on iRV2, she is an active member of the Airstream group at airforums.com and has a good feel for online communities. We're hoping she can help us out with transition issues and are glad to have her here.

Join me in welcoming Janet to iRV2.

Welcome aboard Janet.

Having gone through platform changes on other boards, I will pledge you my patience with those little surprises that are bound to crop up.

Hi and thanks for the warm welcome. I agree that is a terrific site. I've been getting to know the moderators and learning about the community. I feel right at home with a bunch of RVers. My husband and I restored a vintage Airstream (Argosy Minuet) a few years ago and are starting on another. We've met wonderful folks and made lifetime friends at rallies - Rv'ers are happy people.

I am a musician and my trio (acoustic singer-songwriter type band) tours on the west coast each year; sometimes we take the trailer along to summer music festivals. We generally have one of the tiniest trailers at these events and are hoping that our slightly larger, 'project' trailer will be finished in a year but we have a long way to go. Our goal is to have the project finished in time for my husbands impending early retirement.

I met Andy R a few years ago on the Airstream forums and eventually began helping out at his other sites. It's nice to be here and I am excited to be part of IRV2.

Hi Janet, I echo the others welcome, and I must say, this is a great forum that provides a wealth of information just for the asking.

Janet, I look forward to having you at a rally and provide the entertainment...
After 40 plus years of not playing a musical instrument, I started trying to play the guitar again...acoustic as I prefer the sound over amplified. For Xmas I got a new Seagull S6 cedar top. Love the sound of it.

LOL - for Christmas I got a new Sealand toilet and 4 new BAL stabilizer jacks. Wanna trade?

Seagull makes some nice guitars. I have a couple of students who have them, they like them and cedar gives a nice warm tone. I've been playing Larivee guitars for years and really like them. They are road worthy and that's a plus. I can store 2 of them in my trailer shower

I am glad to see you out here - instead of being cooped up in that "stuffy" Admin Forum! ...I will let all the members out here know that Janet H has done some great stuff behind the scenes...how else could she have so many posts with only a handful out here!

I am especially looking forward to working with her as we make the change-over!
