I use S&T to get my driving speeds to match the programs I t ake a 15 break every hour. ie I only drive 3/4 the speed the program uses, works good for me! Allows for lunch and potty breaks.

I push the slider to slow and still has me doing 450 miles in 8hrs, thats an average of 56.25 mph. That allows for zero breaks.

I liked the version where you could type your speed in. That way I could plug in that I wanted to start at 8 and end by 6. It would then show me where I would be so I could look up a park in that area.

The version I have now just has sliders for speed.

I still use S&T to plan my route so I can plug in the detours I want to make along the way into my GPS then just plan on 300 to 400 miles per day depending on what my detours look like. Still the best tool I know for route planning.

Ipad apps for rv

I use S&T 2011 and you are correct the newer version only provide arbitrary speed controls. I manually review directions and assign nights of stay manually. Not very efficient, but works for me when doing advance planning for long trips.

I do the same thing. Manually input stops and time of overnight stops. Still a great routing tool.

Cool iRV2 iPad App

I have noticed the iPad app seems to be missing a lot of the details in posts (signatures etc).

Is anyone else using the app? I have given up on it and am using web access to the site. At least my signature shows up.

In the ipad app:

Go to "more" on the bottom right, then go to "settings" then go to "reading options". You can turn things like signatures on or off depending on what you like to see.

Thanks Yellowreef. That feature is enabled. I see others sigs, but mine is not sent via the app.

Not unusual for the app version to not have full functionality. Not a big deal - just an observation.

I know there are limitations, but I've had my IPad for over a year, and I only use my iMac when I absolutely necessary for business. Once I go full time, I will only have a iPad or some other android based tablet. If I wanted to I could even run my business with the iPad. I'm just too lazy to get the programs and set everything up, lol.

Even with the limitations like the signature thing, the app is cleaner and less distracting with ads than using the website. I am very happy with the iPad app and the iPad, and in a couple of years when another few programmers retire and get bored, they will write lots of useful apps.

One of the things I'm looking forward to going full time, is getting rid of all the computers and laptops. These tablet are great!

When I reply from my iPhone using the iRV2 app my signature shows in my reply both on iPhone and at the site when I go online with my laptop later.

Will try it with iPad when I get home.

This reply is from my iPhone using the iRV2 app
