iRV2 and my education.
I just joined the forum in the last week or so. I bought my second MH last year. I bought my first in 2010, drove it from Michigan to VA, then decided I didn't like it. Never used it. Sold it for a big loss but knew I had made the right decision. Last spring, I found a 1988 35 ft. Holiday Rambler Imperial that I liked and the price was really low (causing some suspicion on my part.) but I drove to Maryland to look at it and decided to buy it. I paid cash for it and drove it home.
It's old, somewhat faded and used, but all in all in great shape and handles good. I didn't hesitate buying it because of it's age because it was something I wanted, something I could afford without going into debt, and figured I had time to make any repairs/improvements it might need. I realized that there was a lot I didn't know about RV'ing and motorhomes, but knew I could learn if I could find the right people to talk to or the right information to read.
Finding Irv2 has provided me with much to think about and much needed information. I have read many of the threads, some as far back as 2009 and look forward to looking each morning to see what new information has been posted. Thanks to all of you who use these forums.

Sounds a lot like my story, but now I hope to be able to help with any knowledge I may have. We can all learn something.

Randy, check the date code on the tires. There's a good chance they need to be replaced.

Thanks, I'll check them tomorrow. Should be good, MH was well maintained by the guy I bought it from and his neighbor, whom he bought it from.

Welcome and don't be afraid to ask questions. We were all newbies once.

Agree 100% on IRV2........ I spend a ton of time reading and searching and have found so much help on here, even asking a question you get an answer on the same day......
