That is a really neat logo !
can you tell me what a pond piggy is and how do you get those camp fires under your names. I need one to dry out out behind my ears. I love this web site and tell every body I know about it.

The campfires are recognition for the number of posts a member has made:
0 to 9 = No fire
10 to 74 = 1 campfire
75 to 249 = 2 campfires
250 to 499 = 3 campfires
500 to 999 = 4 campfires
1000 to 2499 = 5 campfires
2500 to 4999 = 6 campfires
5000 to 9999 = 7 campfires
10,000 and up = 8 campfires

The Pond Piggies are a group of iRV2 members in our North Central Region who camp together.

Talking I'm a charter member of the Pond Piggies

Pond piggy is another name for a carp, but the story goes beyond that.

A group of iRV2.com members (most of which had never met) held an informal weekend campout in September of 2000 at the Tuttle Campground of Pymatuning State Park (PA).

One of the attractions of the park is a spillway on one of the causeways crossing the lake. Here, thousands of carp gather as you can see in the picture below.

People bring bread to feed the carp ...er pond piggies and it becomes a real feeding frenzy. Ducks sometimes even walk on the backs of the fish to compete for the bread that's being tossed in the water.

Long before our historic, first campout, iRV2.com members began organizing into regional groups. Many were comprised of older (Sorry to insult some of you folks, but yes, it's true... get used with it! I'm a Baby Boomer myself.) RVers and it seemed that the majority of them were from the Baby Boomer era. So, many of the groups called themselves "___________ Boomers".

Shortly after returning from the campout, postings and discussions started about selecting a name for our group. However, our group had a fairly even number of both young and older campers so a "_________ Boomers" name wasn't going to work; and we didn't want to use a name like "Lake Erie Campers" (No offense Mid Atlantic Campers- which I'm a member of too!) or "Ohio-Pennsylvania Campers" as we didn't want to potential members to think our group was limited to a specific geographic area.

While I'm not 100% sure who (or where) the name Pond Piggies was first coined, I think it was Bill (Warpath) that suggested it. However, 10 years ago is a long time and, at my age, sometimes remembering what I had for breakfast this morning is a challenge!, So if I was wrong, someone please correct me. Wherever it came from, the name stuck and remains to this day.

So, even though it's a little belated...

HAPPY 10th ANNIVERSARY

POND PIGGIES

Got my sticker for free, what I'd really like is a iron on or sew on patch for my jacket. Am I the only one who collects patches from places I visit? Don't understand the boy shorts, who exactly is going to see the logo? My guess is that the average age of the forum members is a bit higher than the average age of those who would wear them.

I'll bet that there are alot of the women in irv2 that would look mighty fine in those boy shorts. As far as who would see them... one never knows !! I have never been to an irv2 Rally pehaps they have pole dancing. Those short would look good for that.
I hope that if they do have pole dancing at the irv2 Rallies, the girls are not wearing BLOOMERS.

Please send me two "Decals" when you get your shipment in.

The coach looks empty without them.

The last set was sold with the 94 Winnebago.

Thanks, NALSO.
