I just used a square lexan plate and the rubber lined clamps from an auto parts store.

This has come up before I believe - and I had suggested some time back providing a place in the storefront to make 1 time contributions to support efforts to better the site. Don't think that gained traction at all. If ya can't find a way to provide for people to give you money - or believe people might actually make contributions - I don't hold much hope on emailing an annual renewal notice to people that are always online. Lol.
