It's started...2014 Snowbirds heading North

We are seeing, at least here in Casa Grande, AZ., more and more every day for the last week rigs pulling out and presumably heading North.

We'll be doing the same next Wednesday taking our time getting back to our home base in Reno on the 28th.

Sure enjoyed everything about this area especially the warm weather and all the activities where we stayed....but time has flown by.

Yeah Quartzsite is pretty empty and there are very few folks left on the BLM land north of town. When we drove over to Q for lunch yesterday we saw a lot of RVs moving out. At two oclock we were the only customers in the Grubstake Cafe.

The RV park we stay in here in Bouse only has a few left and most of us head north on the first of April.

Most , snowbirds , in FL, are from the New England states and eastern Canada. They know what the weather is back home and are avoiding it.

we leave now

We spent our winter here in NJ with nothing but snow. Now we are heading to FL. We will spend a while at our place down there. water is warm enough to swim now. when we come back to NJ it will be a beautiful blaze of spring flowers and color.

Next year we will stay in FL all winter. Tired of this trash up here.

Us TEXAS residents also go north in the summer. The reason that we haven't sold our house is because we are winter TEXANS. Winnipeg is nice in the summer and they also have Folklorama in Aug.
