It's still burning!!!!!
Fire in a "newer" motorhome. Started mid ship on the right side. All windows on the left side. It took 15 minutes for fire to be observed on the inside of the vehicle so obviously started in an "outside" contained area.
As it is dark here, pics tomorrow.

I'll be watching for your follow up tomorrow. My wife and I lost a house to fire on Christmas Day of 1984. I can still close my eyes and smell that odor. Fire is a frightening and destructive thing. I truly feel for the folks who sustained the loss. It's really terrible to come home to the fire trucks. The only thing worse would to have been inside.

Sounds like a frige fire from the location.. You said it took time for it to be noticed inside.. Many of the materials in the motor home release toxic gas when they burn, so you have very little time to get out of the house when that happens.
If you ever see a fire outside a rig.. Do your best to get the attention of those inside and/or extinguish it quickly.
However do not forget rule number one in the rescue business... DO NOT, YOURSELF, ADD TO THE VICTIM COUNT!

Jumping to conclusions?
Sounds like a charger/inverter fire to me.
As valid a guess as the preceding one, given what little information the OP presented.

Took pics this AM but needed to leave a strong 4G signal due to schedule. New site (near Benson AZ) has terrible service..Tried pic download and canx. at 20 minutes.
The MH was a Presidio - looked to be 35-36' and relatively new. Mid-point on the right side where fire (smoke) started was the frig. with a heater underneath. As it took the fire dept. at least 15 minutes to arrive, it's pretty well gone. No one was home nor did it appear there were any animals.
Will send pics at next stop with good signal.
Thanks Leon, The Girls say "hey" to Onyx.....
