Want to RV full time but must sell house. Have a realtor who is working real hard but no luck. We spent last Thanksgiving at 1000 Trails park where a lady who worked in the general store said she and her husband had had same problem. She found a place on the web however to supplement the realtor's efforts and they got their house sold and are now full time RVers. Sure want a story like that to happen for us! We live just outside Corpus Christi, Texas. Any suggestions?

jas123,

Welcome to iRV2, we're really glad to have you here as a new member and are looking forward to reading your posts about your forthcoming full timing experiences and adventures. You'll find a great bunch of folks on this site who are very knowledgeable of RVing, the rigs we use, and the places we go in them.

As you'll see, they're eager to help and share their knowledge and experiences with others. Hopefully, some of them can give you some tips on how to unload your house.

Again, welcome to iRV2, we're glad you joined.

Hi JAS123, welcome to the site. We are experiancing the same situation, although we are not lucky enough to be able to fulltime yet. In our area, houses are selling as fast as they can be listed, ussually within the 1st week or 2, except ours of course. Our realtor is just as confused as we are that we have not even gotton one call about our house since it was listed 2 weeks ago. We are having an open house Sunday that will hopefully generate some activity. The only suggestions I can offer is advertise every where possible (internet, newspapers, flyers at the local market), and if you haven't already done so, talk to your realtor about an open house, and be patient and don't get to frustrated. It can be a very agonizing process. Look on the good side, you onlt have to sell a house and go have fun, we have to sell then buy another one . You at least have something fun to look forward to.

Rick, haveing bought and sold a number of homes over the years and also been a Realtor I know your frustration. Sometimes you have to think of ways to sweeten the pot,so to speak. One thing that always brought folks to my open houses was a cookout. Free hotdogs and pop. Just a thought. Best wishes, keep a smile and remember...Whatever The Mind Can Conceive It Can Achieve

One reason new houses sell very well is not only do people want a new house, but usually the new house builder/sellers have worked out a plan with a bank with the loan (and interest rate). If you could advertise the down payment and monthly payment, you might pic someones interest. Just my 2cents worth. Maybe your realtor should earn his/her money and get this done for you. s/Toby
