Just inquiring

What attracts you to a particular RV park? What do you look for? What do you prefer for the park to have on site wherever you go?

Being that we travel with our Labs, I look at the parks on Google Earth to see what the pet areas are like. We also look to see what else they have to offer, good wi-fi, sites big enough for our MH and access to and from. We attempt to stay away from RV parks that are mostly paved with little grass or trees.

Personally, our first choice is always a public park for the spacing and vegetation. We are very picky when it comes to RV parks.

Location is the biggest thing. We stay for a month except when traveling. We like access to area amenities and attractions. As far as park amenities, they really aren't worth it to us. We full-time, and look for value. Its not a getaway or vacation.

We also bring the dogs so a dog park or good size walking area. Full hook-ups. Places without 100's of golf carts with music blasting in parade formation.

Absolutely MUST have cable for any stay over 1 night. We cancelled Dish as it always seemed to be a fight every time to get it up and running. If no cable, then must be near a larger city so we can get OTA channels. That will work for an overnight situation. Like to have good WiFi, but we have own hotspot. FHU sites are a necessity, also. Pull-thrus are nice, but not a deal breaker.

I like a park with generous spacing between site, and some isolation form other sites. I like lots of vegetation including trees that provide shade for the MH.
And finally, a friendly management staff and good pricing for the area.

What about games, pools, clubhouses, or other attractions on site?

If you are staying long term its important to some, bit most travel to see the the sights, not the clubhouse or pool. Again, if you are parking it for multiple months you may enjoy that stuff. This DW and I could care less, we are fulltimers

I like a clean campground, larger campsites, and some friendly helpful people running the camp!

Peace & quiet, and not too close to any popular destinations. But near enough for day trips in the towed. Other things such as cable, pools, etc. not needed. But since we stay for a month or so in nice weather areas I want full hook-ups. I will make an exception when wintering somewhere for 4-5 months, I want a fitness center.

Location first (possibly central to a few things we want to do/see), but then we will go for the one with the most privacy every time.

Parking lot mentality (how many can we cram in here) and sky high pricing justified by "organized activities" types at the bottom of our list. We prefer a Wally World to that scenario.
