Just purchased a GPS - Good Deal?

I just purchased on Amazon a Magellan 1700 - 7" screen - for only $129 - and if I desire (not sure I need it) I can add the CoPilot Software which I found for as low as $51 (open box/who cares) - making it significantly cheaper overall then the others discussed on here where you can enter height-length-weight - control toll road access - etc - not that they are not worth it but hoping I found a less expensive alternative. The one I bought does NOT come with "lifetime" map updates but the ones that do seem to be simply adding the price (less $10 or so) to the up-front cost - the device might die or if not might not require updating for a while - so save that money too - and for me with a 36' - 12' high, 37,000# MH probably don't need the truck update for now - my 2-cents...

You got a good buy. I had one that lasted a couple of months. This one has been good for about a year. It is an OK unit in my opinion but I do really like the 7 inch display witch fits on the side window. Don't think the 10 dollar map upgrade was offered to me when I purchased.
I have other map software but have not tried to load them. I did think it was cheap of the company to charge for the upgrades when other units in the price range had free upgrades.
