Just received my TRC power system monitor - pretty cool

Thought I would post some info on this.

It is an AC power system monitor.

My hope is that this will prevent appliance damage from a generator or inverter problem which might cause low voltage, or a frequency problem

It has an alarm (fixed limited) for low/high voltage & frequency.
Plugs into any AC outlet.

Regards,

Dan

Yes, it will "monitor" your power, but won't do anything about "bad" situations, except sound and alarm. Won't protect you against power surges or spikes until it sounds an alarm, by then it may be too late.

Hope you have a built-in surge protection on your coach.

Yup...got all that stuff. Heard things like generator speed being off, so the AC frequency is wrong. Surge protector wont sound any alarm.

Guess i am just a gadget freq

Looks to me like it will only monitor one leg of a 50 amp system. Seems you would need two to cover all power input. As stated above, it will do nothing to really protect your appliances and other items. Just warn you if you are in the coach. A Progressive Management system is hard to beat.
