Good Day all, We are starting on our retirement adventure, I am looking for camping discount at campgrounds. we only have the "America the Beautiful" pass are there any others that do not restrict to one or two night stays. we would likely stay at least a week at any one spot. Thanks in advance.

There are a whole multitude of sites that sell 'discounts' Passport America, 1000 trails etc. In addition and as mentioned above, most camp grounds give a daily discount if you're a Good Sam, KOA or a AAA member

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

Passport America will pay for itself very quickly, even though you can usually only use it for one or two nights. Good Sam is what we use for longer stays. Escapees is a great organization that owns about a dozen parks around the country and has co-op parks owned by members. Their rates are about half what you normally pay, and you can stay as long as you want! Have fun and keep her between the ditches!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

It all depends on where you want to camp and what kind of amenities you expect. The deals in the South will be much different than the deals on the west coast.

Of course that's not to say you can only stay 1 or 2 nights - you can stay for a week or more, but you'll only get the discount for part of your stay. And depending on the park, the time of year, and other variables the park may give you the discount for longer than their advertising states.

For instance: in Hollister, California there's a park called Casa de Fruta. The PA website says that the discount is available Sunday through Thursday only. During the summer they follow that, but in the winter they'll let you use your PA discount on the weekends also. You just have to ask!

Welcome to the forum.

As others have mentioned KOA, Good Sam, Passport AMerica and another one is Harvest Hosts ( but usually only on night and sometimes can be longer)

Enjoy the adventure.

Lots of daily camping discounts available, those mentioned particularly...if you happen to get involved in a Thousand Trails/Encore/etc. presentation, be real sure you understand what you are signing up for and what it would cost to get out.
Good Sam/KOA are usually good for 10% off daily rates; Passport America is a really good deal if you find one where you want to stay and can get more than 1-3 days at the discount rate.

Even if you can only get a day or three it's still better than no discount at all...

Just starting out and camping discounts

I have found for me PA sites aren’t usually in a very good location and doesn’t have what we are looking for. Reviews aren’t very good. If all you want is a cheaper place to stay without location or amenities then it should be fine.
