Get yourself a Garmin Nuvi unit, ours is very reliable and you get free updates. It is used by all the volunteer search and rescue members in Montana, other makes do not have the accuracy that the S&R people need when out trying to locate someone.

Ours has never lets us down except once, and that was operator error I transposed 2 numbers on the address we were looking for, but the Garmin took us to the place I told it to, You will not be sorry. Also, it has never put me on a road where underpasses were to low for the mh.

Thanks for the input. I kept going ack to it. I do have a Magellan and also a newre Garmin.
So ,I was sitting in the Dseat and wondering why I couldn't get it to work. And also why the radio part wouldm't work. Then I was playing with the CB and happened to turn on the RADIO switch by the DS window and noticed the JVC lite up. DUH! as the kids say. So, now this DUMMY has a working GPSand radio .
I'mthinking if I had designed this I would have eliminated this switch and could have priced the coach lower.

Many of those NAV systems also allow the playing of regular DVDs, hence the presence of the "safety switch" to prevent usage while driving unless you really want it. Same as the TV. My switch was hidden under the dash. I replaced the entire unit since the latest map upgrade available was in 2009 and I didn't care about watching a DVD on the mini screen. They were probably expensive systems back in the day, but those systems become outdated quickly.
