Keyless Basement Locks

We currently own a 2016 Itasca 38P. A feature that I really like and would like to implement on this coach is the ability to remotely lock/unlock my basement doors, preferably with a fob. Is anyone aware of such an after market add-on?

I agree. Remote locking basement doors is a very nice option.

To add it to a coach will require adding the motorized solenoid locking mechanisms to each baggage door. These are available from the street rod suppliers and mounting them to each door would not be that hard.

The difficult part will be running wiring to each door lock all the way around the coach. You can ground each one to the basement, but you will need to run the +12v wire to each locking solenoid. It will take some time but is still doable.

If you want to make it remote controlled, a nice way would be to install an aftermarket alarm system like a Viper that will come with remote fobs and an RF receiver.
