Kwikee Step repair

Anyone else had troubles with their Kwikee motorized step?

Mine just failed for the 2nd time in a couple years. I decided to dig in and figure out what was happening and how best to repair.

Great video, now if the gear was a metal construction the assembly could be near indestructible.

Great video of the complete mechanical workings of the Kwikee Step! Other videos I have come across show how they fixed their particular problem,but yours is the first that showed me most everything, especially that plastic gear and then explained why that gear is “sacrificial”.
