Lake Weir RV Community

Does anyone live in or know anything about the Lake Weir Community for RV (and other toys)? It is close to the Villages and we need a review of the area, please. We are considering purchasing a home in Florida and want to store our RV on site. Any recommendations?

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

I'd take a trip there and look at for yourself. We looked into it a couple years ago but passed.

There are lots of rural areas in north central Florida where you can keep an RV at your home. Not the fancy retirement colonies, of course, but single family homes out side city limits. Most counties have restrictions on living in an RV on the property, but not storing one there. I'm looking out the window at our coach now (and we aren't far from Lake Weir).

However, if you want suburban-style living ala' The Villages, something like Lake Weir is probably your best bet. Is that specific area important to you? Cause there are many RV-friendly communities in Florida, e.g. The Great Outdoors in Titusville.

Also Lake Ashton in Winter Haven/Lake Wales - has homes with RV garages or "regular" houses and you can use the covered storage lot in the community.
