Shady Maple restaurant in New Holland, PA if you like to eat. New Holland is 10 or 15 miles from Lancaster.

Strasburg Railroad, Railroad Museum of PA (across the street from Strasburg Railroad), Lancaster Central Market, Sight and Sound Theater, Amish Farm & House, Ephrata Cloister, Root's Market (only open on Tuesday), Landis Valley Museum, Kitchen Kettle Village, Shady Maple Buffet, Dutch Wonderland, Fulton Theater... Other than that there's not a thing to do.

Oh, and you could visit DW and me - we're setting up camp tomorrow at Circle M Campground.

Good luck, and good eating!

Roger

Thumbs up Central Market

If you love farmer's markets the Central Market in the center of Lancaster is chock full of high quality foods. Green Dragon outside of Ephrata is only open on Fridays but is another great experience for the flea and farmers market.

You might want to Google "Lancaster County Tourism" to see what interests you.

There are a number of farm tours in places like Intercourse.

A large percentage of the county is owned by the Amish--many of which are hose and buggy "simple" people. It's some of the premier farmland in the world.
