Latex mattress topper

Anyone have any experience with adding a laytex mattress topper?

I had added one in one of my 5th wheels and it did improve my nights sleep. In my coach I have a sleep number and appears to be much better. All I can say is try it and hope for the best.

The mattress toppers can be very comfortable. We found there were two downsides. One, they move around and will have to be re-centered most mornings. They also add a lot of weight if your bed has storage under it. It can be difficult to lift with the topper on.

Since a good nights sleep is important to us, we've always replaced the cheap mattress with one similar to what we sleep on in our house.

I have a king size bed in my RV and I understand they aren't as wide as standard king beds. With this latex mattress topper, won't the sizes be different for the RV?

we love our memory foam topper. some are hot to sleep on. If that might be a problem for you, look for one that says "cool on it. I bought ours from Walmart. Got the king size one and cut it to fit the mattress In our motorhome. place it under the mattress pad and you won't have much slippage.

Thanks Cathy!

Some of these get pretty pricey, so I need to be sure before cutting on it. We would need one that doesn't get too warm.

Be aware that the memory foam toppers can have an odor to them that some folks can't tolerate! We bought one from Sams Club, left it outside in the sun and air for 3 days, and it still smelled so bad we put it in a garbage bag and took it back to them!

Added one to our TC, made sleeping much more comfy for me, DW didn't notice much difference. I hate skinny people..

We have a topper on our standard mattress. Better than nothing, but after the last couple trips, and having put a Temperpedic in our house (that we love!) We're going to ditch the whole setup for an 8" full latex. CW has their top model (for our size) on sale for $840, with $10 shipping! A Temperpedic our size was going to be $1600

Was your topper memory foam or latex?

Memory- and probably not thick enough overall in hindsight to do what we wanted. But latex toppers aren't too common for short queens. I'm excited about the latex mattress.

We bought the memory foam at Costco about 3 years ago and it has made such a difference. It smelled a bit but in a few days the smell was gone. http://www.costco.com/Comfort-Revolu...100012518.html
