Latex mattress toppers

Have any of you used this particular mattress topper? The reviews are great!

We tried a memory foam topper and hated it. We didn't know about the latex toppers.

Latex allergies?

I tried a topper also, moved around too much. I removed the original mattress and purchased a 13" thick memory foam. It was a little too big so I cut open the outer cover, marked a cut line and used an electric carving knife to cut. The knife did an excellent job, very easy, and then I sewed the outer cover back up. Looks great and feels wonderful to sleep on. Just an option. I paid ony $600.00 bucks from a local furniture store. He told me that since I cut it there would be no warrantee. It was a 60x80 queen sized to 57x80.

We purchased a 3" gel foam topper for our coach. It was a nice addition to the 6" spring mattress which was in our Cruise Master. I have the same topper on our Sleep Number at the B&S. I can give Amazon info if interested.

We haven't used that particular topper, but we have a latex topper and IMO, they are the very best way to make an old or poor mattress sleep like an expensive new mattress. When we sold the last RV, it came with us. They don't sleep as hot as a memory foam topper. We've tried both and there is no comparison.

Joe, I know Annette has a bad back. Have you ruled out replacing everything with a good quality mattress? On both our DPs, we immediately pulled out the junk mattress me repalced with a pillow top mattress, similar to what we have in the house.

We originally tried a topper in our Diplomat, but it moved around too much. Going with a new mattress made it just as comfortable as home.

Not sure what a decent topper costs, but I would certainly recommend a Dynasty memory foam RV mattress. Price is great (about 350 for a queen) and the comfort level is ridiculously good.

.

Yup, we've considered that, but would like to stay with the Sleep Number if possible.

I bet that the topper you tried was the memory foam, right? From all I've read, the latex is much more stable.

DW and I bought a 3" gel foam topper from Aldis' Food Store a couple of years back for $120.00 for queen size. It is 5" to long since we have a short queen in our rig but we just pull it up the headboard the additional length. Acts like an additional pillow of sorts too. Its covered in a very good CoolMax covering to add an extra level of dry coolness to it. We never sleep with AC on during the night and we have never woken up because the mattress was either uncomfortable or hot. We sleep better in the rig than on our $1200 TempurPedic mattress at home. That mattress has a 6" memory foam top but not "GEL" foam and it can become hot (especially for DW). Our topper sits tight where its placed and doesn't move because its weight is so dense. Love it.

Joe, We had a Latex Mattress with topper made and it has been in our last two coach's.
It will be in our next one also. Latex is leaps and bounds above foam in our opinion.

If you don't mind, where did you have it made? DW is struggling with the sleep number.
