We're not there. But why do you ask. Did you have a bad storm or tornado?

Tampa info

Our Outlaw is still there but we were home (by Tampa airport)..I don't believe that any damage was at LD. Lots of lightning, rain and wind. Sadly the family that was lost are apx 45 minutes south, as of 6pm news son was still in hospital.
F2 wiped out their moblie home, in very rural area.
Thank you for the thoughts of us in this area.

Wow, that is scary. I am staying there second week of Feb for a few weeks, would be frightened to all ends about potential tornadoes. Thoughts to those affected.

I have lived in FL for 28 years. First that I can remember ever having measurable tornados......Very rare. Hurricanes, now that's another story.

That storm went across the entire state, we are staying in Hobe Sound and a Tornado touched down here somewhere, Hobe Sound is a small town, it was hairy there for a while.

F2 tornado's are very rare in Florida however with the current El Nino weather pattern we are being warned that severe weather fronts moving through will possibly occur through this April. Snowbirds pay attention to the local weather forecast and get some type of phone weather app with severe weather warning. The tornado that killed the couple in Duette was only about 20 miles from my home but we had been awakened by alerts on our phones plus the local TV channel were doing live broadcast with very accurate radar images.

Hurricanes are in some ways another story but again much of the wind damage is caused by embedded tornado's. When our county was badly damaged in 2004 by hurricane several dozen tornado path's were confirmed.
