LCI (Lippert) levelers error

After I store my RV for a while with the coach and chassis batteries turned off, upon turning it back on and starting up the engine I get an error that says to contact the dealer. I have to drive for about 20 miles or so then I can push the enter and another button to reset it.

I ask the rep at the Winne Grand Nat'l Rally last week about it and he said it is a software problem and they are working on it. There will be no notification of when it is fixed. If you want it fixed it will be at your own expense and require purchasing a new control unit.

I can live with it, but I find I annoying. Anyone else have this happen on their levelers?

Let's see, they know there's a problem with their product, they'll fix it sometime but not tell anyone when it is fixed, and when it is fixed you have to buy a new control unit. Our trailer came with Lippert stab jacks and they fell apart after a few uses. Sounds like a good company to stay away from.

Sane people make the slide systems for many RV's
My experience is no better, with slide repair service. Told me I had a cable problem, turned out to be a controller problem.
I had swapped the cables, on the controller end, and problem moved to the other side and the reversed direction.

My gut told me one thing, their tech was admiated it was the cables.

I look at Lippert anything in an RV as a problem waiting to happen

Well it is indeed a software problem according to the Lippert trouble shooting matrix. If the chassis or house batteries are below 11.4 volts, the computer will lockout the system to prevent damage and display the error. If either of the batteries 12.2 volts but not below 11.4 volts the system will display low voltage error. If the system is locked out (return to dealer for service) or low voltage warning, resetting the system when the voltages are above 12.2 volts will return the system to normal operation. Please note the computer uses chassis battery voltage for operation but the electric hydraulic pump uses chassis batteries for power so both are monitored by the computer. So you will always get the error if you allow the batteries to get below the set minims. To me, it always happens if I am dry camping for a day or so. I have learned to start the generator and engine about 5 minutes before planning to depart. I reset the system and retract the jacks; then precede on my way.

Hope this helps explain the system somewhat.
