Hi, has anyone any knowledge with a US non-citizen tourist leasing vehicles. We are travelling from Australia and have bought a TT, but considering buying a pickup, or thinking if an option to lease. We are travelling many states over a 6 month period and not sure if leasing company will allow 20,000+ miles towing a TT. Will leasing company allow accessories such as tow package/brake controller? Commencing journey in Texas. Thanks

I am by no means an expert on such things, however. I cannot imagine it being cost effective to lease in the aforementioned senario. Of course selling off a vehicle at the end of such an adventure while preparing to leave the country, or leaving it behind and attending to the sale in absentia would have it's woes too!
Good luck.

Maybe write a few dealers and explain your situation. Put forward a model that you will buy a used truck from them at a specific agreed to price and they buy it back from you at a specific price with x amount of mileage factored in. Realistically you might have to pay a bit at the front end or loose a little at the back end....but it would sure make it worry free wouldn't it? Make sure its a reputable dealer and he is willing to do this in writing. That's just thinking a little outside the box...I'm sure theres other ideas out there as well.
