If drinking water purity is a concern, this chart is invaluable. 0.26 oz bleach per 10G water insured safe pure drinking water.
That said, I sanitize my fresh water system once each spring, but only if we stayed home the preceding winter and stored the RV.

all tough we have the best water in the world here at our place
We always drain the tank when we come back and fill it again when we leave
Hey water is cheap at our place 350 gallon under 1 $
And you can drink here out of the tap with no chemicals in the water
It s filtered by sand and about 300 years old.
And as we live on the land of water we are blessed with it
(7 meters below sea level)
