LEGO style leveling items....?

Are the lego style blocks for leveling and chocking worth buying? Or, is it better to just use wood or something else?

Hi,

I prefer the HWH levelers and am surprised you don't have them on your Monaco.

With that said I would rather use wood as when you buy a bag of those lego blocks you only get 5 in a bag, therefore if you have to level rear wheels you would need 10 and maybe even more to level the front at the same time.

I carry enough wood to level one side, however I use rthe levelers exclusively and carry plastic cutting boards for underneath the levels so they don't sink or make an indetention on pavement.

Use your levelers or wood woukld be my best advice to give you.

I use the Lynx Levelers, orange and Lego like. They come 10 to a bag at Walmart for about $35. I have 2 sets. I like them because the are lightweight and do not absorb moisture and oil like wood. I try to always park with the front wheels lower so I don't have to try to level the dual wheels.

Also, Lynx makes a solid cap that I use as the top block under the tires. The uneven Lego block can cause tire damage. Walmart does not sell the top plate. I got mine on Amazon.com.

We do have levelers.

So, I need three cutting boards (plastic) and a few wood blocks, just in case I can't level with the levelers.

I have a camper on a truck that has to be manually leveled and also a Class C with out built in leveling system. I have used the Lynx system but I prefer the custom wood blocks we built as I've had a few of the Lynx break on me. I keep the wood ones in am old duffle bag inside the cargo bay of the MH and in my camper I have a spot we built to haul them.. I carry one set for each and find it works great. We beveled the sides of the wooden block ones we built so that it is a smoother drive on and off of them and it works better when I have to stack a few up.

I do also use the Lynx heavy duty plastic tire chalk.. I carry two for the MH, two for the Camper and Two for my horse trailer

I have 2 sets of Lynx Levelers, left overs from the TT. I have used the once with the MH. The only space in the campground was low in the left front. They are light and don't take up much space so I carry them. I have also used them under a 6 ton bottle jack.

The yellow lego-like blocks work well. I assume the lynx leveling blocks would work as well. In addition, look at the larger and shorter pads for putting under your jacks (mine are orange). When I get a particularly sloppy site, I'll use both. These things are lighter than wood, and may or may not take up less space. The thing about wood is most folks have some lying about the place so it is a no cost way to get leveling blocks.

We have been using the same Lego style plastic blocks for six or seven years. To me they are no brainers. Lightweight, clean just by hosing off, stack and store neatly, relatively inexpensive and durable.

I tried them, they crush under the weight of the DP's we've had.
