The cheapest I found with my Gas Buddy app in Tacoma today was $4.15, but most are from about $4.25 to about $4.33 per gallon of regular unleaded.

It's election year. Big oil's gotta buy who/what they want.

Gas in Corbin, Kentucky is $3.41. It's been steadily dropping over the last month.

I just checked Gas Buddy and Costco is $4.07 but all the other stations are between $4.13 to $4.23 for regular unleaded. That is down from last week where Costco was lowest at $4.29.

Thanks for the reminder, about Memorial weekend and gas prices, I'm going to take my Beasty Girl out and get her topped off tomorrow!

I filled up today, both cars $3.48. Of course, that guarantees that this weekend it will be down in the $3.30 area. Cleveland, the best location in the nation!

Gas is $4.19 here in Oregon and rising. 4 refineries down for "maintenance" and one down for "fire". Just conincidental that it happens at Memorial day???

I was out in the boat last week and saw the price drop from $4.20 to $4.10. (dyed fuel with no road tax) I'm hoping the trend continues. I'm down to about half a tank so I want to fill up before I head north on July 1. The boat holds 400 gallons and fuel in Canada is prohibitive. The MH is full for the summer. It'll sit until September.

Not coincidence at all. The changover and updates are planned months and sometimes years in advance. The maintenance price hikes happen every year, the fire is the joker in the deck. Nobody knew it was going to happen.

Many occupations get more overtime in the summer when people are on vacation. You can set your watch on it, the company needs someone to fill the hours. Then if someone in the office has back surgery and is off unexpectedly, even more overtime occurs.

Fuel prices always rise at the start of summer and diesel prices always rise at the start of heating season. It's been that way for as long as I can remember. The early spike in prices and now the drop is unusual. Watch for the price to bottom out this year as we get closer to the elections. $2.00 gas, here we come.

I don't know what the matter is around here, fuel prices have been dropping. Diesel is under $3.70 a gallon (we paid $4.05 to fill up just 4 weeks ago). Regular is in the low $3.40s. I hope the trend continues.

Ok I would like to officially take this statement back: "And yes, I know we're low compared to a fair portion of the country."

Utah is one of only 2 states trending upward, Illinois being the other. There are 18 states that are even or have higher gas prices than Utah, which includes Alaska and Hawaii. Ugh.

Unfortunately, if the trend continues, that means that the economy is suffering. The only thing to bring down gas prices usually is a bad economy or the threat of a bad economy. A bad economy will make our kids suffer.

Here at our Costco, last week when I gassed up my PU, it was 3.869/gl, then yesterday when DW and I went shopping, it went up $4.039. I haven't gassed up my MH since I just got it out of storage and still have 3/4 tank from the fill-up last year. Would probably do that when we get home from our Memorial Day camping.
